I'm doing a little experimenting...applied the paint a bit thick here and there on this one. As you will see in the next post, I did the same horse in a thinly painted application, using more earth tones and got a very different outcome.This original oil is one of a "mini-series" exploring the many attitudes of the horse, focusing on the expressive eyes, ears, head and neck.
